World Bank is seeking to recruit a candidate for the post of Security Specialist to be located at Washington, United States.
Security Specialist will be responsible to provide backup support to operational activities of a cadre of County and Regional security specialists located in strategic locations throughout the world. Directs and continuously evaluates a variety of pro-active programs and products designed to anticipate and minimize the businesses exposure to potential security threats and determines appropriate responses. Assists with managing and controlling operational security costs across regions in additional to functional budget planning and utilization. Provides regular updates and reports on security costs and efficiency measures. Produces major/complex reports which require the successful coordination and integration of input from multi-disciplinary staff and contractors.
The candidate should have university degree in a relevant discipline (National Security Studies, Risk Management, Police Science or Criminal Justice) at the Bachelor’s level with 15 years’ experience or the Master’s level with 10 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Broad knowledge of all aspects of security operations; physical security systems and a concentrated level of experience in physical security and countermeasures programs; fire and life safety systems. Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to integrate specialist knowledge with broader operational strategies and policies. Experience with emergency/crisis management response and business resiliency. Ability to lead a team of professionals and contractors in the execution of major projects, sometimes under challenging conditions.
